All types of legal forms with some kind of economical activity are included in Statistics Sweden's Business Register, regardless of which sector they belong to.

Many enterprises purchase information from other external business register. But we recommend you to consult us to obtain information from the original source. Changes of addresses occur continuously and therefore we update our register once a week. We also receive changes by questionnaries and personal contacts with enterprises.

The Business Register in December 2006:  - 918 974 enterprises and 993 229 local units

Did you know that:
-	57 per cent of the enterprises operate as private firms and 28 per cent as limited companies.
-	About 11 per cent of the enterprises changed their address during the year 2005.
-	99,7 per cent of the enterprises are private.
-	2 322 Swedish enterprise groups have subsidiary companies abroad.
-	1 322 limited companies (total 255 598 limited companies) are owned by municipalities.
