MCPON Testifies Before Congressional Subcommittee
WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) (SW/FMF) Joe R. Campa Jr. testified before Congress on Feb. 9 in his first appearance before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction.

CNIC Preps for Personnel Accountability Exercise
WASHINGTON (NNS) -- Exercise Citadel Personnel Accountability 07-1 (CPA 07-1), a large-scale personnel accountability (PA) exercise, will be taking place Feb. 21 to March 2.

Conducted by Navy Installations Command (NIC) and in coordination with U.S. Fleet Forces Command, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Navy Personnel Command (NPC) and the commanders of Navy regions Naval District Washington (NDW) and Hawaii (NRH), the exercise is designed to capitalize on lessons learned from Mustering Exercise (MUSTEREX) III 06, conducted in August 2006.

ITEMPO System Upgrade Allows Offline Tracking of Sailors
MILLINGTON, Tenn. (NNS) -- Units with deployed Sailors can now keep track of these assignments through the new Individual Personnel TEMPO (ITEMPO) Offline Reporting System beginning Feb. 5 even if they have limited Internet access.

Since Oct. 1, 2000, the Navy has used ITEMPO to track and document the individual deployment days of its Sailors.
