The Minneapolis Board of Education is a policy-making body responsible for selecting the superintendent and overseeing the district's budget, curriculum, personnel and facilities. The school board is granted authority to carry out these duties by the State of Minnesota and the Minnesota Legislature.

Blueprint for Pre-Planning Activities

The Blueprint for Pre-Planning Activities is a five-month plan that provides a framework for the superintendent and the Board of Education to begin the preliminary work necessary to create a long-term strategic plan.

The Blueprint for Pre-Planning Activities is also intended to be an efficient, inclusive and transparent process that will encourage community engagement and dialogue about the future of Minneapolis Public Schools.
