About hoyasonline

How do I register for hoyasonline?

Click this link to register for hoyasonline. You can use the registration number from a Georgetown mailing to register, or you can confirm your personal information.

What if I've forgotten my username or NetID?

Your hoyasonline username is the same as your Georgetown NetID.

All alumni who register for hoyasonline are assigned a NetID, a unique electronic identifier for each authorized user at Georgetown University. Alumni use their NetIDs and passwords to log into hoyasonline.

Click here and confirm your personal information to retrieve your NetID. If you have questions, please contact the University NetID Office at netidservices@georgetown.edu.

How can Georgetown faculty and staff request access to hoyasonline?

Georgetown University faculty or staff who would like to have access to the online Alumni Directory should send an e-mail to the Records Office. In the body of your e-mail, please provide your name, Georgetown NetID and a phone number. Someone will be in touch with you within 2 business days.

What if I've lost or forgotten my password?

Follow this link to reset your password.

How do I change my password?

Follow this link to change your password.

What is the e-mail forwarding service?

E-mail forwarding is a service provided to all alumni. Your NetID followed by "@georgetown.edu" is your lifetime Georgetown e-mail address. You can have all e-mail sent to your Georgetown e-mail address automatically forwarded to your current e-mail address.

You can check where your e-mail is currently forwarded, or update the e-mail address to which your mail is forwarded, by logging into the mail routing tool with your NetID and password.

How do I set up e-mail forwarding for my Georgetown e-mail account?

If you registered for hoyasonline using your Georgetown University Alumni Association registration number, you have access to e-mail forwarding. Click here and enter your username and password to set up e-mail forwarding.

If you did not use your registration number to join hoyasonline, or if you've just reset your password and no longer have university-level access, you can get e-mail forwarding by upgrading your NetID. To upgrade your NetID, print this form, fill it out, and fax it back to University Information Services.

How can I get a copy of my transcript?

For an unofficial transcript:

Log in, using your NetID and password, to Access+ to view and print your unofficial transcript.

For official transcripts:

Visit the University Registrar's page and fill out the online form to request an official transcript.

Please note, Law alumni must request transcripts from the Law Center registrar; Medical alumni, from the Medical Center registrar.

I've just reset my password, and now I can't access all the features of hoyasonline. How do I gain access to transcripts, library resources, and e-mail forwarding?

To upgrade to university-level access, for security reasons you'll need to print this form, fill it out, and fax it back to University Information Services.

I'm having problems with my Georgetown e-mail forwarding.

In recent weeks the Alumni Records office has seen an increasing trend in delayed routing and refused delivery of e-mail messages. Much of the slowness in the delivery of these messages is due to problems with external e-mail hosts and providers such as AOL, Yahoo!, Hotmail, MSN, and GMail. Sometimes these providers refuse delivery and this causes a backlog in the university's system.

When external e-mail providers will not accept incoming messages, the university cannot deliver the e-mail and the messages are queued for delivery at a later time.

There may be various reasons that external providers are refusing such messages. To ensure delivery of mail, all alumni who use Georgetown e-mail forwarding services should check with their service provider to see if the forwarded messages are being refused for any reason.

Should you have any questions or for more information, please contact the Alumni Records Office.
