More than 30 different collector coins have been minted in Finland. Each collector coin commemorates a significant event or person in Finnish history. Mint of Finland co-operates with esteemed artists in the production of collector coins and has six times been awarded in the valued, international "Coin of the Year" competition.

Circulation coins |

The euro was introduced as an official currency on 1 January 1999, and several banks and companies immediately started using it in their transactions. Mint of Finland produces all euro coins for Finland and also euro coinage for export.
