A citywide transit strike is currently in effect as
of Tuesday, Dec. 20. St. John's will supply expanded
shuttle bus service today and Wednesday to help employees safely
and efficiently meet their University obligations. A daily
breakdown of our bus schedule is available.
When using the bus service, you will need to show your St.
John's University ID card. If a strike occurs, permit parking --
with the exception of reserved parking -- will be suspended on the
Queens and Staten Island campuses.
We advise our entire University community to monitor news
reports and frequently check the New York City Web site at http://www.nyc.gov. We also urge
employees who depend on public transportation to prepare for a
potential strike by organizing carpools in advance.
