	Focus films get a national airing India’s national broadcaster Doordarshan has broadcast a series of films about pressing environmental issues. Each was made by journalists taking part in the Focus on the Environment training programme. [more]

Online learning goes live Journalists who’ve taken part in the Focus workshops now have the opportunity to continue their learning online. Two new courses have been especially designed: one for newspaper journalists, the other for their colleagues in TV. [more]

Focus film wins festival prize 'Critical Chaos', a film about urbanisation made by participants in the focus workshop in Pune, has won a film festival award. [more]

Next round of training scheduled The 'Focus on the Environment' roadshow has already visited Delhi, Dehradun, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune and Lucknow. Now the next round of training is being organised - for West Bengal, Andra Pradesh and Kerala. [more]

Training completed in six states The project has now trained 72 TV and print journalists in environmental journalism skills and 67 NGO staff in working with the media. [more]

TERI establishes production suite A state-of-the-art digital editing suite has been installed at TERI’s headquarters in Delhi with a view to assisting with the production of environmental documentaries both during and after the project. [more]

Delhi: Training the Trainers Any training course needs trainers – and the two-year Focus on the Environment project is no exception. So the first event of the programme was a two-week course aimed at equipping twelve new trainers. [more]
