The obverse shows King Carl XVI Gustaf’s crowned monogram and the text “SVERIGE” (SWEDEN) and the year the coin was struck.

On the reverse is the figure ”5” with a bow on each side. Below the figure is the text “KRONOR”.

The edge is smooth. The coin is silver-coloured.
 
Metal contentPlated material in three layers. The middle layer is of 100% nickel and the outer layer has an alloy of 75% copper and 25% nickel. Each outer layerweighs 46.5% of the coin's total weight
