Fr. Pete was raised in Grand Rapids, MI and is the oldest of 6 children. After graduating from West Catholic High School he went on to earn at B.S. in Biology at Grand Valley State University. Upon completion of his coursework at GVSU, Fr. Pete entered Moreau Seminary in the fall of 2000 and professed first vows in August 2002. While in the seminary Fr. Pete spent a year ministering at St. John Vianney Parish in Goodyear, Arizona where he directed the confirmation program, taught school and coached basketball. He returned to the University of Notre Dame to complete his Master of Divinity degree, which he received in May 2006. Fr. Pete has two years of previous experience in residential ministry, having served as an assistant rector in Old College and Dillon Hall. In addition to serving the men of Keough Hall, Fr. Pete is currently the Director of the Freshman Retreat and Assistant Director of Vocations for the Congregation of Holy Cross.
