Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has recently launched the website of its forthcoming English news channel - Press TV, Iranian Students News Agency has reported.

IRIB’s Deputy Director of International Affairs Mohammad Sarafraz said Press TV follows a different news line in comparison to the US media with precise English literature, and has already attracted the attention of many from various parts of the world.

Mr Sarafraz said that various programmes were under production in different continents for Press TV channel.

He evaluated the initiative as a “positive move” and stated that the channel would officially begin its work within two to three months
