CONSTITUENCY FUNDING UNDER THE RMLF
According to the KRB Act, 16% of the RMLF is supposed to be allocated to all constituencies equally. Currently, there are 210 constituencies in Kenya and each receives KShs.5,500,000 each financial year for implementation of routine maintenance road works.

The constituencies in each of the Districts in Kenya make up the DRC. The DRC is made up of the Districts’ MPs, the DRE who acts as a secretary and two co-opted members from interest groups.

The DRC is headed by a chairman whom the members elect. The DRC identifies and prioritizes roads to benefit each financial year from the Fuel Levy Funds allocated to them from the 16% and 24% allocations of RMLF for classes D, E and others (unclassified).

The current chairmen and secretaries for the DRCs in the country are as per attached list.
