The Riksbank’s activities require high standards for security. The security Division develops, coordinates and oversees the security activities at the Bank. The work is divided into four areas: to ensure the safety of the Riksbank’s staff (personal protection), that the Bank’s IT environment and other information management is secure (information protection), that items of value at the Bank are protected (property protection) and that the Bank can carry out its most important functions in the event of a crisis (business continuity planning). Responsibility for the security of the Bank’s activities lies with the line managers. The role of the security Division is to work strategically to adjust the Bank’s rules and regulations to the risks in the operations and to provide support to the line managers.
