The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday announced its annual list of the most pro-business federal lawmakers, and Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain made the list while Democrat presidential rivals Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did not.

The honors go to lawmakers who took the pro-business side of key issues, such as low taxes, free trade and limited regulation, during 2007.

The U.S. Chamber also recognized several Georgia congressmen as pro-business lawmakers. Republicans Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Sen. Johnny Isakson, Rep. Lynn A. Westmoreland, Rep. Tom Price, Rep. John Linder and Rep. J. Phillip Gingrey made the cut, as did Democrats Rep. Sanford D. Bishop and Rep. John Barrow.

The chamber list includes 239 lawmakers, most of them Republicans.

"The business community depends on solid partnerships on Capitol Hill to help grow the economy and create new jobs for hardworking Americans," said Tom Donohue, U.S. Chamber president and CEO. "This award recognizes those lawmakers who have demonstrated leadership on important business issues such as trade, investment, and transportation."
