SafeRides, operated by the Department of Public Safety, provides a door-to-door service within the West Georgetown and Burleith neighborhoods. This service runs from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. To pick-up SafeRides, students must call the transportation number and the coordinator will dispatch the van. This service will become available on Tuesday, September 4, 2007.

The Shuttle has two continuous routes with one bus on each route, one from 37th and O St. through West Georgetown and another to Burleith. The Shuttle stops for students at each stop sign on the route and runs Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. The Shuttle leaves 37th and O St. every 15 min (10:00, 10:15, 10:30 ...). This service will start to accommodate students, faculty, and staff for the Labor Day weekend on Thursday, August 30, 2007 and run through Sunday night September 2, 2007. The Shuttle will then return to the regular schedule as described above on Thursday September 6, 2007 for the remainder of the semester.
