Celebrity Justice
Washed-Up Rapper Now Locked Up Rapper

Dayum that's a long time! A judge has just sentenced Remy Ma to eight years in the slammer for shooting a woman outside a NYC nightclub. She had faced up to 25 years.
Remy Ma
Remy, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, cried as she heard the sentence, claiming last summer's shooting was an "accident." Her lawyer says he'll appeal.

Adding more ridiculousness to her drama, correction officers at Rikers Island say they called off Remy's weekend wedding at the jail after her fiance, rapper Papoose, tried to sneak in a handcuff key! He was kicked off the island and told he couldn't come back for six months. That's gonna hurt those conjugal visits!

11. Remy Ma. Who the heck is that? What's the statute of limitations on someone being considered a "rapper," "singer" or "celebrity"? I mean, Mindy McCready hasn't had a record (hit or otherwise - not counting her rap sheet) in years yet she's still noted as "country singer Mindy McCready arrested..." When do you just become a trouble maker, crook or loser?

15. Nice try by her future husband...why isnt he being charged and locked up? That isnt justice thats stupid.

Will the next Generation of Blacks still accept this way of life as part of their Culture? How shameful this past and current generation has been to the Eyes on the Prize. Education apparently doesnt matter anymore, getting high, getting off, getting over, and getting some is all that does I guess.

Middle Class Blacks rose up above it and dont want this...Rappers and ;thugs and prison life glorified...its a disgrace to an entire culture. Change it, and quit playing victim. White folk dont want to give anymore...most have seen enough. Whites aint perfect, but damn, this nonsense isnt glorified and white kids grow out of it...black kids become it...
