"Web 2.0" in just under 5 minutes. I was inspired to make this video while writing a paper about web 2.0. Struggling to find a way to put it into words, I decided to make this video to show it rather than tell it. For more information on my goals and ideas behind this video, check out my interview with John Battelle.
Information R/evolution
by Michael Wesch October 12th 2007
This video explores the changes in the way we find, store, create, critique, and share information. This video was created as a conversation starter, and works especially well when brainstorming with people about the near future and the skills needed in order to harness, evaluate, and create information effectively.
A Vision of Students Today
by Michael Wesch October 12th 2007
This short video summarizes some of the most important characteristics of students today - how they learn, what they need to learn, their goals, hopes, dreams, what their lives will be like, and what kinds of changes they will experience in their lifetime. Created by Michael Wesch in collaboration with 200 students at Kansas State University.
Since YouTube's beginnings in 2005, the website has hosted not just coca cola and mentos experiments, but a network of vloggers who have meaningful interactions beyond the limits of text. This video was created to explore the content and purpose of vlogs, as well as the networking and interconnectivity as users respond and reach out to each other within and beyond the YouTube website.
