Course on Statistics in Poverty Policies

With funding from the Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (Sida/Asdi), Statistics Sweden is organizing a course on  "Statistics in Poverty Policies". The course, which consists of three  parts, has been offered once a year since 2003, each time with participants invited from a specific region. In 2003/04 the region was  Africa, in 2004/05 Asia, in 2005/06 Latin America and in 2006/07 southeastern Europe.

The course in 2007/08 will start in November 2007. The course brochure and the application form are found here. Applications are invited from the following African countries: Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. The brochure and the application form may also be obtained from Swedish Embassies in the countries listed, or directly from the course secretariat through Ms Nina Strom (nina.strom@scb.se).
