Programme for SEK loans against collateral
24/10/2008 In a programme of regular auctions, the Riksbank will offer three-month SEK loans to the monetary policy counterparties. Starting on 10 November, the loans will be offered at regular intervals of approximately two weeks. Read more The Riksbank to offer USD loans on 28 October
24/10/2008 The Riksbank is to offer additional USD loans. Loans totalling USD 7 billion will be provided in an auction held on 28 October for the Riksbank's primary monetary policy counterparties. Read more Repo rate cut to 3.75 per cent
23/10/2008 The Executive Board of the Riksbank has decided to cut the repo rate by 0.5 percentage points to 3.75 per cent. It is assessed that over the coming six months the repo rate will need to be cut by a further 0.5 percentage points. The interest rate cuts are aimed at alleviating the effects of the financial crisis on the real economy and at the same time attaining the inflation target of 2 per cent. THE RIKSBANK
Sveriges Riksbank is Sweden’s central bank and a public authority under the Riksdag, the Swedish parliament. The Riksbank is responsible for conducting monetary policy, the objective of which is to maintain a low and stable level of inflation.
