Floyd Abrams

Floyd Abrams is a visiting professor of First Amendment issues at the Brennan Center. He is a professor at the Columbia University School of Law, and an adjunct professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He is a partner in the law firm, Cahill Gordon & Reindel, and co-counsel to The New York Times in the Pentagon Papers case.

Tanya E. Coke

Tanya E. Coke is a former federal public defender and currently a consultant to U.S. Programs of the Open Society Institute, where she works on issues of race and criminal justice.

David Cole

David Cole is a professor at Georgetown University Law Center and a volunteer staff attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights. He is also legal affairs correspondent for The Nation, a commentator on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered, and author of No Equal Justice and Terrorism and the Constitution (both from The New Press). He was named one of the top forty-five public sector lawyers under forty-five by The American Lawyer.

Aryeh Neier

Aryeh Neier is president of the Open Society Institute. In four decades of activism for civil liberties and human rights, he has served as executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union and of Human Rights Watch.

Burt Neuborne

Burt Neuborne has been Legal Director at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law since the Center’s Founding in 1995. For more than 20 years, he has been one of the nation’s most active and successful civil liberties lawyers. In October 2000, Neuborne successfully presented the Brennan Center's argument in Legal Services Corporation v. Velazquez to the U.S. Supreme Court.
