STATIV Database

STATIV is a longitudinal database focusing on studies relating to integration, segregation, gender equality and migration. The database has previously been the responsibility of the Swedish Board of Integration but was transferred to Statistics sweden on 1 July 2007.

The database currently contains annual entries from 1997 onwards and covers all persons who were registered in the population register on 31 December of each year. The database is updated with new annual entries roughly 4 months after the end of the reference period. The object in the database is the individual but some data are also available for the individuals' parents. Data in STATIV can be grouped as follows:

• STATIV is under development and will eventually contain more annual entries back in time and variables on migration and gender equality.
