Make Miniature Christmas Decorations and Displays

Miniatures are used for Christmas Tree decorations, as well as Christmas villages and displays. This list of projects and printable miniatures will help you make decorations for your full size tree, make and decorate a tiny Christmas village or Creche, or decorate a miniature Christmas tree.

1. Make a Realistic Miniature Christmas Tree

A bit of dried greenery and a bottle brush or bottle brush tree are the basis for this realistic dolls house scale Christmas tree. It can be made in any scale to decorate a Christmas Village, or add to the background scenery.

2. Make Miniature Christmas Tree Ornaments From Beads

Keep an eye out at the bead store and you will find all kinds of things to turn into ornaments for a tiny Christmas tree. These ornaments all work with 1:12 or smaller scale Christmas trees for Christmas villages.

3. Make Miniature Stained Glass Ornaments

Use Glaze Pens, Glass Paints, or nail polish to decorate metal, glass or filigree beads and turn them into miniature stained glass ornaments.

4. Make Spiral Christmas Trees from Wired Trims

Here's an easy project. These trees can be made from wired tinsel, ribbon, or beaded trims. Decorated with colored sequins or miniature ornaments they make a great addition to a Christmas village or a modern dolls house.

Fill your Christmas Tree with miniature animals. The needlefelt technique shown here makes a miniature needlefelt raccoon. You can use these instructions to make any other animal, including miniatures of your family pets using this technique. 6. Make Miniature (or Full Size) Christmas Crackers

Tiny or full size Christmas crackers can be made using gift wrap, tissue or Crepe paper and ribbon. A printable file for making boxes for 1:12 scale crackers is included.

7. Make a Printable Miniature Sleigh

Make this printable miniature sleigh and fill it with parcels or ornaments for a table decoration. The sleigh can be made in three sizes from photo paper, or lightweight cardstock. It is strong enough to hold a dolls house scale doll or santa with his sack.

8. Make Cut Paper Trees for Miniature Scenes

These cut paper trees can be made with sharp scissors and paper punches. This is a good alternative to paper snowflakes!

10. Easy Wreaths Made From Wired Trims
