Michelle Obama's Inaugural Hair

Wednesday January 14, 2009
Michelle Obama Hairstyle With the Presidential Inauguration just days away, there's only one big question on my mind right now. How will Michelle Obama wear her hair?

The real man of the hour, Mrs. Obama's long time hair stylist, Rahni Flowers of Van Cleef Hair Studio in Chicago will be flying in to Washington DC to style the new first lady's hair for all the events that surround the inauguration, according to this article in the Chicago Tribune on January 13th.

I can't imagine being responsible for the hair of the first lady for such an important series of events, but rest assured this isn't Mr. Flowers' first rodeo, as he was also the artist behind her look on election night. So, how will Rahni style Michelle for the inauguration? If history repeats itself, I can imagine that she'll wear a soft, turned under style like in the photo here during the democratic national convention. Personally, I love her hair pulled into a soft, elegant updo, and with the amazing gown that she'll likely be wearing, I can only imagine that an updo would be perfect.

The Golden Globes: More Flops than Fabulous Mops

Tuesday January 13, 2009
Amanda Seyfried 2009 Golden Globes Hair I kinda sat with my jaw on the ground when I watched the Golden Globe Red Carpet Appearances on Sunday, January 11th. Of course, I'm ooohhing and aaahhing at the gowns, the jewelry, and the makeup, but it was that hair that left me with a bit of a lump in my throat. I'm not saying that some people didn't have beautiful hair (Amanda Seyfried) but others (Drew Barrymore) left me wondering if, perhaps, Frenchie was the stylist of the night. Oy.

Check out my reviews of the red carpet hair, and weigh in with your opinions of the night's hairstyles!

Sure, everyone came in before the holidays for their standard style, but the New Year spirit is to unleash a new look.
