Practice report
FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots are holding their afternoon practice inside Gillette Stadium, as they prepare for Sunday's game with the Arizona Cardinals.
It's the second time in three days that coach Bill Belichick has had the team practice inside the stadium. He likely wants to give them a look at the type of conditions they'll be playing in on Sunday.
Left tackle Matt Light was present for the media portion of practice, which included stretching, special teams work and positional drills. Light, who has a right shoulder injury, had been absent from practice on both Wednesday and Thursday.
However, defensive end Ty Warren (groin) was not spotted at practice. He had limited participation on both Wednesday and Thursday.
The three missing Patriots players were:
DE Ty Warren
LB Tedy Bruschi
S James Sanders
The Patriots were in shells (light shoulder pads) with some players like running backs Sammy Morris and LaMont Jordan toughing it out in short sleeves.
This is a game that Warren may not be essential for. If they can limit Arizona's passing game, then they should be able to win. So, Mike Wright and Jarvis Green should probably see more action than they otherwise should anyway. It's more important that Warren suits up against the Bills.
in the immortal words of Jerry Glanville " NO FEAR DODGIN - JUST STRAIGHT AHEAD RUNNIN"
I am praying for a lousy weather day Sunday - I want to see the ground game continue to ramp it UP this week.
Sammy and LaMont for a buck a piece and Kevin darting all over the place would be outstanding.
" NO FEAR DODGIN - JUST STRAIGHT AHEAD RUNNIN"
We need all hands on deck for the next two games. Warren will have plenty of time to rest his groin in the off-season which will come sooner rather than later if he doesn't play.
Arizona may not have run the ball that much against the Vikings but they will be forced to do so against the Pats because of the weather on Sunday. That and the fact that Boldin may not play.
oh yeah - and lets hope the Boys whip the Ravens!
I can't believe I have to root for TO sat nite - i hate that guy!
repeat after me...Pats go 11-5 in Coach Belichik's best coaching performance of his life.
