The main entrance to the University is situated on Mile End road five minutes walk from either Mile End (Central, District lines) or Stepney Green (Hammersmith & City, District lines) tube stations. Four main campus buildings surround this area, Queens Building, Peoples Palace, Physics Building and the Chapel. The high street has many shops, pubs and restaurants as well as providing access to Mile End park and Regents Canal.

St Benet's is the Christian Chaplaincy to the College. It welcomes Christians from all denominations, as well as people of other faiths and of none. Religious services take place throughout the week, mostly at lunch times. The Chapel is also available for private prayer.
This state of the art open plan teaching facility has room for 120 high-performance workstations with large screens and is used by the Department of Computer Science.
A relaxing green environment, the Library Square provides access to the Main Library, the Medical Sciences building and one of the student bars, Bar Med. At its centre is 'Knowledge', a sculpture by artist Wendy Taylor.
One of our greatest assets, the award-winning library provides a well-resourced and comfortable work environment for students from all disciplines. Computer terminals allow students to search for books in this and other University of London libraries and the well-organised shelving system makes books easy to find. An abundance of desks means that even at the busiest times you can be sure of a well-lit, quiet workspace.

Nursery for the children of staff and students
The People's Palace was the original name of the institution established on this site in 1887. It was built to provide an educational and cultural centre for the local community. The People's Palace today houses the Skeel Lecture theatre and the Great Hall where College ceremonies, including graduation, take place.
The Queens' Building is the main administrative building on campus and is the main entrance to the College. Alongside the main reception, it is home to Computing Services, the Residences Office, the Alumni Office, the Careers Service, the Registry and the Finance Office as well as the Department of Economics. At the back of the building is the Octagon.
This area, with its covered walkway and glass-fronted shops, provides a pleasant environment in which students can eat in one of The Refectory's three restaurants, use the Barclays Bank, shop in the Waterstone's Bookstore and arrange travel and holidays with STA Travel.
A relaxing social space, the Student Union Square includes the Student Union bar and nightclub e1, Muslim prayer room, Computer Sciences building and the Informatics Teaching Laboratory.
This is the home of the Students' Union and the social centre for students on the campus. The building houses the Union's bar and nightclub, welfare services, administrative offices and sports facilities.

The Faculty of Arts is the largest at Queen Mary and comprises The School of English and Drama, The Department of History, The School of Modern Languages and The Department of Politics. The Arts building also contains the Harold Pinter Drama Studio, modern languages teaching audio laboratories, a large foyer with comfortable seating and an overlooking balcony, a raised terrace garden and the Faculty of Arts computing facilities.

This is the purpose-built home of Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry's pre-clinical training. It includes the Mason Lecture Theatre, a multi-user laboratory equipped with computers, a dissection room with closed-circuit television and Bar Med.
This is the home of the School of Biological Sciences.

Houses the University of London Interdisciplinary Research Centre (IRC) in Biomedical Materials.
Home of Department of Chemistry
The Department of Computer Science is housed in the same building as the Students' Union and occupies the top floors and west end of the building. It is accessed from the patio outside the Students' Union bar.
This is the home of the Faculty of Engineering, which includes the Department of Electronic Engineering, the Department of Engineering and the Department of Materials.
This houses The Department of Geography and the Drapers Lecture Theatre. It also includes Advice and Counselling and the Health Centre, which includes a GP (during term time), nurses and professional counseling and advice. The Geography Square outside the building is a tree-filled space with benches for relaxing on.

The College owns a number of student houses along Bancroft Road, which provide self-catered accommodation for students. Students usually share bathroom and kitchen/dining facilities with 5 or 6 other housemates.

The four houses are split into seventeen 5-6 bedrooms flats and one 3 bedroom flat with 2 rooms specifically designed for wheelchair disabled residents. Each flat has it's own shared kitchen/dining area. Coin operated laundry facilities are available in an adjacent building.

A seven-storey student accommodation consists of 11 six-person flats and 2 four-person flats. Each flat has shared bath/shower, toilet and kitchen/dining facilities as well as a coin operated laundry.

This residence accommodates 100 students in single study bedrooms with washbasins. Rooms are grouped into 5-6 room flats with each flat sharing bathroom, shower toilet, and kitchen/dining room. It also has a common room with TV/video. The residence shares a coin operated laundry facility with Varey House.
The Student Village provides self-catering accommodation for 1,000 students, staff and academic visitors in six different styles of building designed to create a village community feel. A shop, laundrette, large common/meeting room, café bar, central reception and a security office (staffed 24 hours per day) are all on-site.
