ATHENS, 16 January 2009 - The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, today condemned the fatal shooting of a Georgian police officer near the South Ossetian administrative boundary.

OSCE training helps Serbian media cover reform of security sector

A training course supported by the OSCE Mission to Serbia is helping journalists provide better coverage of ongoing reforms in the country's security sector.

OSCE helps report human traffickers in Kosovo

From 25 November to 10 December, the OSCE Mission is supporting the information campaign "Rock to break the silence! Report human trafficking!" to promote Kosovo's anti-trafficking helpline. ()

For two weeks, the OSCE is supporting an information campaign to promote Kosovo's anti-trafficking helpline. The aim is to increase the information flow between the public and the authorities to combat trafficking in human beings.

Abkhazia and South Ossetia continue to be at the centre of international attention. Another issue in Georgia, which the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities is focusing on, is the return of Meskhetians deported by Stalin to their homeland.
