Grants - Frequently Asked Questions:

Grants

1. Can the BBC World Service Trust fund my project or organisation?

The BBC World Service Trust is not a grant-making organisation.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to offer financial assistance to individuals or organisations. We are an independent charity funded by external grants and voluntary contributions, mainly from the UK's Department for International Development (DFID), the European Union, UN agencies and charitable foundations.

2. I am looking for funding for my educational trip, can the BBC World Service Trust help?

The BBC World Service Trust is not a grant-making organisation. Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer financial assistance to individuals or organisations.

3. We are an NGO and would like to begin a partnership with the BBC World Service Trust. Is this possible?

We work with many different partners and welcome new partnerships to work on specific projects. However, we work within particular themes and countries, therefore any work with project partners would have to fit within these strategic aims. This means that on the whole, we proactively seek appropriate partners, rather than responding to requests. As we are not a grant-giving organisation we cannot provide funds. Instead we seek funds in partnership for specific projects.
