Observing a Class

As an opportunity to experience the vibrant academic life here at Georgetown, professors in some departments have graciously made their classes available to visiting students. Please click here for a list of classes available to visit.

If you decide to observe a class, please consider the following:

Some professors prefer to know further ahead of time when a student is visiting. Those professors have their e-mail address listed under their name. Please make sure that you e-mail these professors at least 3 days in advance

Please arrive in the classroom at least 10 minutes before a class is to begin. This allows you to make a proper introduction to the professor, who will want to let you know if it is not a good day for a visit (tests etc) as well as to make sure you get the most out of your class-session.

Also, it is requested that students remain for a FULL class session of any class they wish to attend. This avoids unnecessary class disruption.
