Dear Editor,
Israel defies the global community denying a humanitarian truce and makes a mockery of every international law and dignified living. The assault on Gaza is not an arab issue, but an issue of every individual human's right to live.

It is high time to seek the reasons why the international community and the international organizations have become so impotent before a tiny nation. It was the impotency of the international community which led to the genocide of Jews in Germany decades before. We still feel sorry for what the Nazis did . Unfortunately, the Jews are doing the same to the Gazans without any remorse.

It is not a war . War happens between two armies, almost of equal powers. But, what happens in Gaza is mass-killing, a well pre-planned genocide by Israel, supported by the most powerful nation in the world.

A helpless population of 1.5 million people, without food, water, medicine, electricity or an army, is victimized, is murdered. Gaza is a narrow strip of about 40kms long which has been under siege by sea, air, and land. Gaza is literally a prison with all its gates closed and Israel shamelessly claims to have asked the people of Gaza to take shelter when bombed.

It is the most cowardice act of all human actions. It is merely a pre-planned genocide unfolding in front of the international community.

There is no point in a 'war on terror' when we see a state sponsored terrorism leading to genocide. Taliban kills the innocent, Al-Queda kills the innocent, Israel kills the innocent.

All are acts of terrorism. The perpitrators of every terror activity must be brought to justice. Pouring down fire on an innocent population is not the solution. Violence will breed violence .

What we need is peace; what we need to understand is that we are all humans first and all other identities come later.
