iGoogle users are in for a treat this morning. A new section of themes for games has been released. Simmers will be interested to know they can now change their theme to "The Sims 3" or "Spore." Also listed that you may be interested in is are Mario, Zelda, "Wii Sports," "World of Warcraft," and "Guitar Hero." I couldn't decide on just one. I am using the Game of the Day theme. It automatically rotates out gaming themes. Perfect. I was having a hard time deciding between Mario and "The Sims 3."

The best sellers list of PC games hasn't changed much in recent weeks. "The Sims 2 Double Deluxe," "The Sims 2 Apartment Life," and "Spore" are all on the list. The one that surprises me is "The Sims 2 Double Deluxe." "The Sims 3" is so close to being out, yet it's at the top. Guess for $20 bucks it's a good time to get in on the series. The Double Deluxe edition has "The Sims 2," "The Sims 2 Nightlife" and "The Sims 2 Celebration Stuff." Team that edition up with "The Sims 2 Apartment Life" and for $40, you'll have hours of gaming to keep you busy. Could also be a good time to get your sister her own copy, so she'll stop taking yours.

EA's PR people sent out a notice letting us know that "The Sims 3" has a Facebook page. They have some videos, screenshots, and many fans saying how excited they are for the game's release. I do not have a Facebook page, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything. On the surface, it doesn't look like you're missing too much by not going to the page. Never know, that could change. Other than that, just more hype.

It's a case of 'do as I say, not as a I do.' I've spent the last hour trying to get my older desktop to work. Why? Because when I went to install "The Sims 2 Free Time" I found that the pamphlet with the registration number was missing. Lucky for me, I did install it on my other desktop. Installing a game puts the serial number in the registry (where info about all your software is kept).

Please save yourself the hassle of messing with your old computer and write down your serial numbers. Don't follow my example, kids.
