Saying they will use new technology, expertise and an advisory task force to try to solve the crime, the Boulder Police Department has taken the reins again in the investigation of the JonBenet Ramsey murder. The 6-year-old JonBenet was killed in the basement of her home on Christmas 1996.

Kidnapped Children Found After 20 Years

A Tennessee brother and sister who were kidnapped from their home in 1989 have been found alive and well in San Jose, California and their grandfather has been arrested. Christie and Bobby Baskin, who are both now in their 20s and known as Jenny and Jonathan Bunting, were found with their grandfather, Marvin Maple.
Authorities said Maple, 73, took the children 20 years ago because he thought they were being abused by his daughter and son-in-law. Read more...
MySpace Sex Offenders Hit 90,000 Mark

Although the social network website MySpace promised to remove 29,000 known sex offenders from its service, the actual number was closer to 90,000, according to a new report. In a report to state Attorneys General task force, MySpace officials this week said it had identified and removed 90,000 sex offenders from its online network.
Last year, both MySpace and Facebook implemented new safeguards aimed at protecting younger members. Read more...
