Obama asks Cris Comerford to Stay as White House Chef

Friday January 16, 2009

Its official! Even two weeks ago, rumors persisted that a new White House Chef would be chosen, particularly a chef from Chicago. But Cris (Cristeta) Comerford has been asked to stay as White House Chef for President Obama and his family.

In a statement released by Michelle Obama, the First Lady said, "Cristeta Comerford brings such incredible talent to the White House operation and came very highly regarded from the Bush family. Also the mom of a young daughter, I appreciate our shared perspective on the importance of healthy eating and healthy families. I look forward to working with her in the years to come."

Superbowl Chili Recipe

Friday January 16, 2009

You can't have a football party without chili! There are many, many versions of chili. I like the more traditional versions like this Chipotle Chili. This one uses ground beef as well as steak for a nice texture difference. And it has a bit of kick. If you like it hotter, just add more chipotle or jalapenos.
