Wellesley to receive $1.2-million in federal stimulus money for schools

Wellesley will receive nearly $1.2 million of the $168 million in federal stimulus funds the Patrick administration is giving to communities to avoid painful cuts to schools, according to a list released by the state. Boston Globe, 3/23/09

Town Meeting approves budget without override

Wellesley Town Meeting members Monday night approved a budget for fiscal year 2010 that will not require an override of the state's Proposition 2 1/2 property tax limit law. But it's not really a “balanced” budget, according to the Advisory Committee. Boston Globe, 3/30/09
