The Council calls upon all Political Parties in Israel to adopt the Arab Peace Initiative as a Basis for Negotiation

The Arab Peace Initiative of 2002 constitutes a great change in Arab strategic thinking. It is a basis for negotiation to end the Conflict, to reach a Peace Settlement and to establish good neighbourly relations between all the people of the Middle East.

The Council has placed a full-page Notice in Ha’aretz, Israel’s leading Hebrew language daily newspaper, urging all political parties to adopt the Initiative on their electioneering platforms.

The Notice (posted on Tuesday 25 November 2008) was signed by some 600 Members of the Council.
