The Employment Services Mission

Our Mission is to facilitate the hiring, development and retention of a talented, skilled and diverse workforce of individuals strongly committed to the goals of the University who, as active participants in the life of the University community, seek the best for the University and themselves.

The Office of Employment Services provides a wide array of services to Georgetown staff and faculty and prospective candidates for employment.  For employees, we help you manage your personal HR information, answer your questions about grades and compensation, and assist in the resolution of other concerns.  For managers, we provide guidance on all aspects of HR management at Georgetown, including hiring, compensation and performance management.  For prospective employees we have information on how to scan career opportunities and apply for a job.  The following is an overview of our services: 

In this section, you will find information on career opportunities and how to apply for jobs at Georgetown University, including temporary employment opportunities through Hoya Staffing, our temporary employment service.  For Georgetown students we provide a link to the Student Employment Office, where details on student positions can be found.

Every Department has an assigned HR Generalist (click here for a listing) available to counsel employees and managers, and explain University policies and procedures.  This section also has information and links to other University resources that are available to staff and faculty to help resolve complaints and concerns, including the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Affirmative Action (IDEAA), and the Ombuds Office.

This section offers information on how faculty and staff can access and change their personal records through EmployeeAccess+ as well as details about The Work Number, our automated system for employment verification for current and terminated employees.

Our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) staff provides technical data analysis and reporting on Human Resources issues for Georgetown University. The staff maintains the Human Resources Website and other web based applications for sharing of information across the campus.  This link will provide you with more information about current and past projects.
