Does anyone know of where I can go to seek information on "eco-migrants" in new york city -- or people who have come here because of economic reasons caused by environmental degradation?

Please message me with any information and I will share details of my project.

With thanks.

TAKE ACTION to prevent and reduce statelessness by going to:
http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/421/t/4075/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=25349

You can help the eleven million people around the world who live in limbo without any citizenship rights.

Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) recently introduced bi-partisan legislation (HR 6520) in Congress to prioritize the prevention and reduction of statelessness within US foreign policy.

Most stateless people can't work legally, they can't own property or travel, their children can't go to school, and they're often at severe risk of criminal attacks, trafficking and social and political discrimination.

This legislation would require the US Department of State to dedicate more personnel and resources to help countries resolve statelessness, but we need your help to make sure this important bill passes!

We all need to step up, all countries, everywhere this is a growing issue, like Canarias where people arrive starving , ill, dying.. a problem that concern me each moment. Sanctions on Mugabe will affect the innocent people not himself i agree 100% . Thanks for ur work.

Britain need to step up and help the thousands of destitute zimbabwean refugees in the uk. Sending them back to mugabe's regime and denying them any form of support completely undermines Gordon Brown's efforts at the G8 summit. The sanctions they intend to impose on Mugabe will affect the innocent people more than they will affect the tyrant himself.
