It was so shiny on the big screen, maybe we just didn’t notice that the Sex and the City movie is nothing more than a paean to the joys of conspicuous consumption, sacrificing character for cliché, and, yes, love of labels. Even the two-disc edition's lackluster EXTRAS a self-important chat between Parker and director Michael Patrick King, a mini-doc on costume designer Patricia Field feel like commercials. Worth breaking up with, on a Post-it. C
