The Georgetown University men's tennis team was defeated in the BIG EAST Championship quarterfinals this morning by No. 2 seed Notre Dame, 4-0.
The field for the 2009 BIG EAST Tennis Championships in Tampa, Fla., has been set and the Georgetown men's tennis team has earned the No. 7 seed. The men's and women's championships will begin on April 16 with the Hoyas playing No. 2 seed Notre Dame at 9 a.m. Friday morning in the quarterfinals.
The Georgetown University baseball team hits the road this weekend for a three-game series at UConn. The teams play Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. and Sunday at noon from J.O. Christian Field in Storrs, Conn. The Hoyas (10-22, 3-9 BE) will be looking to snap a six-game conference losing streak against the Huskies (19-15, 6-6 BE), who currently sit in the middle of the league at sixth place.
