Dick Cheney's reticence is gone. He's strongly speaking out on all kinds of matters these days, criticizing President Barack Obama's policies as much as he can.
Do I smell money in the air?
As expected, Cheney is now seeking to sign a lucrative book deal to tell all to the American people -- you know, the people he used to hide information from when he was vice president.
Cheney could get millions of dollars to give his side of what happened during the presidency of George Bush, especially regarding post-9/11 policies.
It could be fascinating reading (especially if Cheney spills the beans about who was in the meetings on energy policies and what they told Cheney early in the administration's time in D.C.).
So the book deal is one more reason Cheney has kept such a high profile in recent months. In part, he's trying to nudge up his dismal approval ratings so more people might be interested in buying his book.
Of course, no one can begrudge Cheney his opportunity to make money off his government service. It's the American way, after all.
I wonder
I wonder, Yael. What if Chaney IS right?
I'd guess he'll handle it better....

than the neocons did the last time. They talked tough and gave the Koreans a stern finger shaking! In the end they just wussed out like the clueless cowards they are. Maybe they should have been paying more attention but then they have such a short attention span.
While these wankers were stirring up a hornets nest in Iraq for nothing Korea (with a real nut job at the helm) was building a nulear weapon. Heckofa job Brownie!
As Bugs would say, "what a maroon!"
Hmm - NK getting your attention yet?
Exploded an underground nuke and test-fired a missile today - can't wait to see how the 'nuanced' Demos handle this one.
Speaking of nukes, I have to say Randy Newman sang it best in the song 'Political Science' - enjoy ... (btw, I understand he's being facetious in the song, but I'M not)

No one likes us-I don't know why
We may not be perfect, but heaven knows we try
But all around, even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one and see what happens
We give them money-but are they grateful?
No, they're spiteful and they're hateful
They don't respect us-so let's surprise them
We'll drop the big one and pulverize them
Asia's crowded and Europe's too old
Africa is far too hot
And Canada's too cold
And South America stole our name
Let's drop the big one
There'll be no one left to blame us
We'll save Australia
Don't wanna hurt no kangaroo
We'll build an All American amusement park there
They got surfin', too
Boom goes London and boom Paris
More room for you and more room for me
And every city the whole world round
Will just be another American town
Oh, how peaceful it will be
We'll set everybody free
You'll wear a Japanese kimono
And there'll be Italian shoes for me
They all hate us anyhow
So let's drop the big one now
Let's drop the big one now

EIT? Cute acronym.
You don't know what you are talking about.
Leading legal experts, politicians on both sides of the aisle, war veterans, intelligence officials, military judges, and human rights organizations have all concluded that water-boarding is torture, regardless of what cute acronyms you might use. Most every civilized country acknowledges that this is torture.
So just because you have cowards like Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck (and probably yourself)-- all claiming that this is not torture because some appointed, hack attorney wrote a memo saying is wasn't -- does not change the facts. So you call can identify it with cute 3-letter acronyms all you want, unless you are man enough to go through a session of "EIT" and say it's not torture, you are nothing more than a coward with flimsy morals.
And contrary to your pre-conceived notions, water-boarding, also known as "hydropathic torture" was created to punish, intimidate and coerce confessions in the 1800's.
This is from a journalist that was water-boarded by the French during the Algerian War:
"The rag was soaked rapidly. Water flowed everywhere: in my mouth, in my nose, all over my face. But for a while I could still breathe in some small gulps of air. I tried, by contracting my throat, to take in as little water as possible and to resist suffocation by keeping air in my lungs for as long as I could. But I couldn't hold on for more than a few moments. I had the impression of drowning, and a terrible agony, that of death itself, took possession of me. In spite of myself, all the muscles of my body struggled uselessly to save me from suffocation. In spite of myself, the fingers of both my hands shook uncontrollably."
And while you make a baseless claim that EIT has saved "thousands" of lives, it begs the question: How would you know that this has saved even a single life? There is not a shred of evidence that it has. If you think otherwise, you are misinformed.
This isn't about militant barbarians. This is about our country's moral compass. And while you may feel at ease using techniques that the German Secret Police, The Khmer Rouge, The Japanese during WWII, and other brutal entities...the great majority in this country object to what you call "EIT".
So get off your high and mighty soapbox and understand that THIS ENEMY is not like our previous enemies. They don't respect life and "asking them, please" doesn't work.
And and nice as Lezzle is, she has a right to her opinions, and your opinions are not worth any more than hers.
We can settle this whole question easy as pie.....
We just get Cheney or Gonzales, or Woo et al to submit to a little empirical test. If after say, a week of "EIT" they still believe that waterboarding or any other technique that doesn't "result in organ failure" is not torture then I'd be cool with it. How 'bout you Twas, you game for a little neocon slap'n tickle?
But, so long as we're at it there are a few questions I'd like to ask.....
It's not TORTURE, Vegas2112
Just because you say it a hundred times doesn't make it so. EIT was done on THREE high-value terrorists, not for revenge, not for punishment, but to save thousands of lives, the same lives you mention in your posts. Lezzle apologized to you. I don't know why, but you threw it right back in her face. Look, I would rather EIT didn't have to be used, but you really can't argue with the results, and the "victims" of it would just as soon chop your head off as look at you.
So get off your high and mighty soapbox and understand that THIS ENEMY is not like our previous enemies. They don't respect life and "asking them, please" doesn't work.
And and nice as Lezzle is, she has a right to her opinions, and your opinions are not worth any more than hers.
Cowards
Lezzle, it is not you as a person, it is who you speak for/represent,
It has nothing to do with being Pro-Life. I respect that position. The majority of my family is "pro-life".
The problem is that you are "selectively" pro-life.
You might abhor a 15-year year old child terminating her pregnancy when she finds out that an adult impregnated her against her will...yet, you hardly wince at news reports of 42 people being killed in a bombing raid, that killed "X" in Iraq...when in fact, 3 young pregnant women were killed.
You support and defend people like Dick Cheney in one breath and in another breath you say you do not "wish harm on anyone". Those two positions are incompatible.
By proxy, you defend torture. It is indefensible. I served as an officer in our military, ready to make the ultimate sacrifice for this country....and I have researched this issue extensively...you and Dick Cheney are wrong.
It makes me sick that a cowards like Cheney and Limbaugh who skirted their obligation at least 5 times...is now the chicken-hawk who thinks war and torture keeps this country safe
You are angry with Dick Cheney and apparently you are also angry with me. I want to understand why you are angry with me. Because I'm pro-life? I do not wish harm to anyone. If I have offended you, personally, by anything that I have written I am very sorry. Stopping abortion is important. If you care about the children you mentioned perhaps you can do something to help men and women to respect each other and cherish the act of sexual intercourse for the child that could be a product of that union. Perhaps you can help end pornography and change society so that we stop treating men and women as sexual objects and sex as mere recreation. I know that's a lot to ask. As to Cheney, I believe there is more than we have been told. That doesn't mean, however, that I do not have faith in those we elect to serve their nation well. I believe in a strong defense for our nation. That doesn't mean that I am pro-war or that I want young men and women to be put in harm's way or innocent people blown up in a building by a bomb-carrying crazy person. There are some things that are inherently wrong. Taking life is wrong. I am opposed to the death penalty. That doesn't mean, however, that I don't believe in defending my community from those who would take our lives. I take these positions after a life-time of making wrong decisions. Sincerely, Lezzle

Jenniferm, how can it ever be your right to kill another human being?}
The problem that you and people like you have is that you are duplicitous when it comes to "life".
You fervently deny a woman's right to end her pregnancy and yet you seem to have no problem with killing hundreds of thousands of people in a country that is of no threat to us in their hemisphere.
You couldn't care less if a woman who decided to have children has health insurance or not, once those children are born...as long as those fetuses were not aborted.
And so you defend a coward like Dick Cheney and expect not to be judged by the company you keep.
He, not President Bush, is the epitome of what went wrong in this country.

Low, low, blow equating me with the Oklahoma City murderers. No, I don't think Jesus would torture. No, life is sacred until natural death. Perhaps the person who spews vile is the person who you see in the mirror each morning. Lighten up. Or at least try to see the light.

You're so wrong
Sigh. Ziegler commissioned the poll. I wrote that he authored it, which I believe he did. What does it matter if Zogby executed the poll, if the poll is not valid? A poll that posits questions that are not factual is a push poll, which is not a scientifically acceptable poll.
Just because most black people voted for the president doesn't have to mean that they did so only, or even because, he is black. Could all the race-baiting and hatred that comes from rightwing radio and Fox have anything to do with black people feeling the GOP isn't going to represent their best interests?
"Blacks don't like to be stereotyped, but then they go out and show us exactly why stereotyping happens."
The GOP only stereotypes because the stereotypes are true? Or is it: "Blacks force us to stereotype?" Well, at least you admit you stereotype.
"Why do people like you always revert to race bating rather than argue real issues?"
You don't seem to understand what race-baiting is. I most definitely did not do that. You did.
"And things you mentioned in paragraph 4 are not what the large majority of conservatives think, so please don't stereotype me."
Read it again. I distinctly said that view was certainly not representative of most Republicans.
Have a great day. I find having to explain myself multiple times tiring.
RSN - pretty relevant to me
You didn't mention that Zogby conducted the poll. I made no statement about race - you did. Since 95%+ of blacks voted for Obama, I think that race was involved from their point of view. Blacks don't like to be stereotyped, but then they go out and show us exactly why stereotyping happens. It appears to me that, based on the percentage of whites that voted for Obama, race is more of an issue with blacks than whites.
Why do people like you always revert to race bating rather than argue real issues?
And things you mentioned in paragraph 4 are not what the large majority of conservatives think, so please don't stereotype me.
twas_was, was that supposed to be relevant?
But, OK, I'll deal with it.
1) The video didn't address anything I posted, least of all the facts. No one has refuted a single fact that I posted. The responses I've gotten consist of name-calling, a couple of racist slurs, and a lot of people saying liberals, just go away. But no polite discussion of the issues, no give and take. Why is that?
2) Did you post that to "prove" that black people are more ignorant than white people? Does believing that make you feel superior? Exactly what were you trying to prove? See the rest of the post to understand how "truthful" and "valuable" that poll and video are.
3) Do you really think a poll authored by rabid rightwinger John Ziegler that targets blacks (58% of the respondents were black, as opposed to roughly 23% of the population), a poll that was used to garner attention so he could publicize his Web site and documentary "proving" bias in the so-called liberal media, is a significant and unbiased, reality-based poll? Do I trust that he didn't cherry-pick his results? Not at all. His methods have been repeatedly questioned. His intentions? Clear to all.
4) That the American populace as a whole, in general, is ignorant about details, has been widely documented. I don't for a minute believe his sampling was in any way scientific. Given the same sampling methods, do you honestly believe Republicans would have come off as more knowledgeable? Witness the Republicans who still believe President Obama was not born in America and believe he is Muslim. Or who still believe we found WMDs in Iraq. Do I believe they represent, statistically, all Republicans? Of course not. But you could create a poll that says they do. If you were John Ziegler and stood to make money from it.
5) Americans generally choose to vote based on 2-3 issues, the rest is noise. On both sides. Read political theory for more on that.
We can trade videos all day to show bias on the left and right. Why don't you take at look at:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHYdSAodD1Y&feature=PlayList&p=1754B06997C84728&index=0&playnext=1
You don't like the person who shot the documentary? Just look up McCain rallies or Palin rallies. You'll find the same hatred. The pictures speak for themselves.
Moderatemouth
I quote your last post..."placing our troops, the very people who protect our freedom, in harms way?" I am/was one of those troops.
If Jesus were here now who do you think he would walk with? I will tell you...he would be with Aids victims, drug addicts, the poor and persecuted(not quite the type of folks you would find at a Republican convention). I ask you as a practicing Catholic to read the part of the New Testament where Jesus speaks about a camel, a rich man, the eye of a needle and the kingdom of heaven. Don't thump your Bible at me pharisees. He was also against capital punishment and war...how do you reconcile that neocon? Oh and I hardly think that the 'Sermon on the mount' is an endorsement for right wing ideals...do you?
Nice Try MB
So... in your bigoted view, the conservatives stand for hatred? Yet your party continues to slam everything which does not coincide with their views? Your party stands in front of national television and lies about our National Security, saying they were misled, leads a witch hunt to take down any and everything related to the previous administration and releases documents and cries for more placing our troops, the very people who protect our freedom, in harms way? That's what the "new way" is all about?
Oh, and I guess the values that you call out-dated are love, kindness, patience, goodness, and concern are out-dated? Pick up a Bible sometime and start reading the New Testament yourself, and see what Christ really stood for: children, life, love, human happiness, peace on earth, the poor, the hungry, the downtrodden, the untouchables, the sick, the outcast and the unloved. I guess liberal values are much better than that huh? Big government spending, taking that which is not theirs and giving to those who give nothing back in return? Make things fair? NOT. Grow up, get educated, and go away.

Very alone.. As for Mitt & Newt... Newt's got too much baggage he's dragging around. He's a smart guy though, maybe too clever by half. The ultra conservatives don't trust Mitt, perhas with good reason. He's pragmatic and not a doctrinaire.

I really don't care what you think about the state of conservatism. Liberal's advice to conservatives is "to be like liberals". If that happened it would be a one-party system. You stay on your side of the fence, and I'll stay on mine. When the conservatives were in power, I don't remember conservatives telling liberals to be like conservatives.
Conservatism will make a rebound. You should just bask in your recent success and leave us alone.
You know what President Obama should do?
He should, as much as possible, refer to Dick as his cousin, the former vice president. I think that would be a hoot!
This is great...watching a political party implode. Keep up the good work Dicky and Rush...the more you guys make clear to the rest of America what you truly stand for the better.
Let us do the math...Republicans are the party for wealthy white Cristian heterosexuals...what do you think their prospects for survival in this ever growing republic are?? Perhaps all the war mongers/"Rush heads" could go the treasonous route like the Governor of Texas suggested and seceded. The blue states get to keep their money and industry. You keep your out dated values, your Bible and your twisted sense of patriotism.
Hey fearobama
Hell, even General "Colon" Powell voted for him because of his color. It had nothing to do with maturity.
Are you saying that these BLACK (why all caps, btw) voters were unable to hear him speak, read his words, read news stories, discuss their views like WHITES do when they chose who to vote for? Now (I'm kinda afraid to ask someone like you), why would that be?
As for Gen. Powell, only the convicted drug-addict "I like to get a" Rush "anal poisoning is always on my mind" Limbaugh made that ridiculous claim. Is Rush your bff?
Is that why you're so racist and hateful? Or is that why you turn to Rush? Chicken and egg, I suppose.
If the republican party continues to retreat....
into it's most extreme points of view and allows Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh to become their public faces/voices they are in deep doo doo.
The next savior of the conservative movement will be the person who can interpret conservative philosophy in a way that addresses the needs of a large, diverse complex society. The current incarnations of conservaitve thinking are simple minded reactionary slogans and the hucksters are buffoons.

Spending and taxes in Washington? Call the Press!!!
I am an old-style Burke Conservative (yeah I chose the name moderate, so what?). I believe in small government on the personal level - ie: community. I believe in states rights and limited taxation. I believe in a strong national defense. I believe in the values and morals of the Bible, and see them as essential to any successful society. I believe in pullin gon your own boot straps and helping your neighbors do the same when they cannot. I believe in human rights but swift justice. I believe in pure capitalism. There are a multitude of things I believe in; but not this big government controlling every aspect of our lives as well as running businesses and health care. Our government should not use my tax dollars to bail out failed institutions, nor should they give it to people who don't contribute to society at large. The government shoul dremain in the community and the federal government should be extremely limited and completely accountable to the people.
Republicans are mad? Damn right they are. This is why the Rep. are doing what they are doing now. Bush ran the contry for 8 years was in no way a conservative. He was Rep. by party affiliate only.
People who vote for Republicans are very angry right now.
Please, someone tell where the REAL Republicans are?
Many Americans today have been enlightened by the wars we find ourselves involved. One war, the "war on terrorism", finds its main battleground as a complex array of worldwide criminal investigations. Liberals, Democrats, Republicans, Conservatives, most don't have a problem with us kicking down the doors of members of the Taliban.
When talking about the war in Iraq the parties have much difference. Democrats say that the public and congress was mislead to justify the war in Iraq and that the Bush Administration no longer deserved autonomy in situations where US service men and women's lives are on the line. Based on the results of the last elections, most Americans see a problem with GOP/Republicans; at least in the way they make decisions about the use of our military.
So why is it that in the GOP/Republican party there are no dissenters, no independent thinkers, no moderates? Where are the real conservatives who would laugh at how conservatively the current Republican Party has been spending taxes, and creating big government? Has the Republican Party lost its identity? Can the ideology of the GOP be so easily summed up in Karl Rove talking points like “support this and support that”, and angry rhetoric like “liberals are traitors”?
Hello REAL Republicans! Anybody out there?
Figures that Cheney would
Figures that Cheney would bring out all the left-wing-nut, Bush-bashers, and all around loons. Me is a-thinkin' that the Huffington "hate-filled" Post linked it as well.
Cheney slammed Obama and rightly so - because Obama is hurting America. Obama may actually wake up and smell the coffee soon. He has already renegged on Gitmo and the release of photos. He also has not withdrawn troops from Iraq as fast as he said he wanted too, and he is building up in Afghanistan.
All of you touting from your high horses about Cheney being a liar, thief, killer, whatever, wake up yourselves, smell the roses, and realize one thing: Obama is a politician, and he will govern to keep his "career" intact. You think he is going to leave the Middle East? You think he is going to "free us from our oil addiction?" You serisouly think he is going to protect us from Islamic extremists by governing the way you think is right? Get real, get a life, and start acting like a liberal should - like a gentleman (look up the true meaning of the word, throw back to the days of Rousseau and others).
This hate bashing and anger you all hold for Bush/Cheney is rediculous.
The Evenements of "9/11" et. seq.
Cheney, to be sure, had Means, Motive and Opportunity where the evenements of "9/11" were concerned. However, he may never be found 'guilty' beyond a reasonable doubt.
Whereas Ashcroft and Giuliani were _indispensible_ for the "Palace Coup" that took place under cover of "9/11." This is the 'elephant in the room' which underlies the "Controlled Demolition" of the entire US economy...
Mark, learn and inwardly digest the following:
And keep in mind the high weirdness of CHENEY defending ASHCROFT's 'Enabling Opinions.' Where is Asscroft in all this? Ghouliani?
LeahyLevinandSenateIntelOversight.txt
Now in the possession of Senators Leahy and Levin, Senate Judiciary Committee, USA
Dear Sirs,
During 2004, I grew increasingly incensed by the way that the supposed "liberation" of Iraq (which I supported in principle) was fast turning into a brutal occupation. The absurd US Viceroy, Kissinger Associates' former MD Paul Bremer, had dismissed the entire Iraqi Police Force, and the entire Iraqi military, leaving no "eyes and ears" on the ground in Iraq. The 'remedy' to this self-created problem turned out to be massive arrests of entirely innocent people, who were "turned" into active informants ('snitches') by being shown CD Slide-shows on laptops, displaying scenes of torture and degradation and abuse by the thousands... These scenes were for the most part 'staged' so as to terrify those watching them. This was done systematically, in conformance with careful analyses of the deepest fears and aversions of Arabs and Moslems.
Ordinarily, this should have been impossible, because -- under US Military Law -- ALL interrogations must be supervised by two Judge Advocate General officers (the US Military Justice Corps). These supervisions were ordered stood down (by who is still unclear).
Whoever ordered those stand-downs can have had only one purpose -- to evade the JAG controls on detainee abuses.
JAG officers are now under standing orders to discuss this situation with no-one.
They are VERY unhappy about this state of affairs....
The US War Crimes Act [1996] enacts into US Federal Statute Law ALL the protections described by the Geneva Conventions.
In an attempt to circumvent the United States Constitution, and to provide "Get Out Of Jail Free" cards to high US Officials (not lowly and expendable soldiers and CIA operatives), John Ashcroft's US Department of Justice faked "Opinions" asserting that torture and murder of detainees was "lawful."
This contention cannot possibly survive the US Supreme Court, of course (unless the US Supreme Court was first 'packed' with servile and compliant Justices). The Constitutional and moral and legal Bright Lines are so clearly drawn that they would dazzle the sight of anyone trying to overlook them...
I contacted fifteen FBI Offices so as to file formal statements drawing the FBI's attention to this appalling malpractice amounting as it does to treason to the Constitution.
The reactions of the FBI Officers and Agents I spoke with ranged from furious outbursts, assertions that that "America is up to its armpits in terrorism" (truer, perhaps, than the furious outbursters might want to know); to miserable, lamentable apologies that the internal integrity of the FBI to uphold the Laws and the Constitution of the United States had been destroyed, and any attempts to address the problems were "pointless."
Eventually, one brave FBI Officer at the Washington, DC Field Office took the statement, which was confirmed in writing afterwards. This statement showed that John Ashcroft and his officials were in clear violation of the US War Crimes Act [1996]. I copied the statement to Mrs. Laura Bush at the White House. Ashcroft was the only senior Cabinet Officer dropped from President Bush's Second Term.
Mrs. Laura Bush is an intelligent, feisty and principled woman and I admire her immensely.
President George W. Bush was in a precarious situation after the "Palace Coup" which took place under the guise of the Official Conspiracy Theory that "19 Moslem Hijackers" had destroyed the World Trade Center and part of the Pentagon, where over 160 US military staff were murdered, Over three thousand people were murdered in New York on "9/11", and all the murder investigations are still open. There will be many thousands more deaths from the toxic residues that swept the city.
Clearly, the Coup planners desperately needed tidily packaged "confessions" from Arab and Moslem individuals who could not possibly have been guilty of the Coup d'Etat plotters' evildoing.
Mr. Michael Heimbach of the FBI's Counter-Terrorism Staff recently publicly thanked Mr. Richard Gage, an Architect with Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, a highly reputable organization of professionals, and his assistants, for meticulously documenting evidence showing that the WTC skyscrapers were in fact destroyed by massive sequenced detonations of explosives, rather than the relatively minor fires which have never in history brought down steel-framed skyscrapers, let alone three in one day...
Pilots for 9/11 Truth, which includes amongst its eminent members Jeff Latas, former President of the United States Air Force Accident Investigation Department, has meticulously documented the glaring deficiencies of the Official Conspiracy Theory, which is now lying on its back like Kafka's beetle, feebly waving its legs in the air. They have also meticulously analyzed and documented the actual fate of the jetliners and their hapless passengers and crew on that fateful day.
I strongly recommend that your readers study Alexander Solzhenitsyn's prescient Nobel Prize Speech, "One Word of Truth..."
http://www.STARGATE.uk.net/nobel.txt
They will then be much better equipped to dare to use their own intelligence (rather than being deceived by official lies, and the mendacity of some partisan "journalists", who should have known better their duty to the truth).

This thread is full of people I've never seen post
It makes me think that the Huffington Post or MoveOn has linked it.
My guess is that most of the Cheney-haters here are not Midwesterners.
It's obvious that the hate spewed here is based on ignorance and not of common sense.
And you folks that relate patriot only with serving, I give you FDR WJC Abe.
But none of what I say here can go anywhere because of your political hate.
Get over it. Your guy is in the WH. Are you really worried about what Cheney's got to say? Based on your posts, I think so!
Stop the Blue Sky Tribe
The enhanced techniques that the CIA used against some of the highest valued detainees in the war on terror were "amateurish" and that their use "plays into enemy hands", "ignores the endgame" and "diminishes the moral high ground."' (former FBI agent who witnessed the procedures.)
Well, gee, that sure flies in the face of the self-adduced "expert opinion" of a man - Cheney - who has NEVER served or been formally trained in the military or in any law enforcement capacity or procedure. Cheney knows about as much about effective interrogation techniques as couch-potato bubba knows about triathlon training! This is what we get when we let two DRAFT DODGER CHICKEN HAWKS run the country and try to run two wars!
Just because Cheney and his right-wing psy-ops plant wants to revisit this story doesn't make it any more or less true. Truth is not generated simply by saying something over and over again. You can't market or sell me the truth. Get over yourselves you toe tapping Republican propagandist hacks.
Maturity???
How about the outcome is to the credit of ignorant voters who did not know anything about wonderboy exept he was BLACK. It was the race that put him in office. remember the polls.... 98% of all black voters voted for Obama. That is a FACT.
Hell, even General "Colon" Powell voted for him because of his color. It had nothing to do with maturity.
BOB DYLAN SUX
Is that the best you can come up with.....Please go back to watching MSNBC jerk
PLEAASe bacuase I am sick of seeing Pelosi
If wonderboy would do what you say ...we could be rid of her once and for all. What a disgrace she has been.
Don't be a fool....
We were not attacked for 8 years...now we are sure to be attacked in the next 2 years under wonderboy obama. Are you stupid like Obama in that you think Extreme Islam will like us if we are nice....do you thinkn like Obama that when they saw pictures of AbuGrabe that all of the sudden they said DAMN ..lets go kill Americans. Don't be so foolish they hate us and there is nothing wonderboy can do to make them like us. It is sad we now live in a country of ignorant fools like you....but we do and I suspect sooner or later we will have another revolution to change it back.
A JOKE?
OBAMA HAS RELEASED NO CIA SECRETS.
ALL THIS INFORMATION WAS MADE PUBLIC ONE YEAR AGO YESTERDAY BY THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. 5/23/08
THE IG'S SPECIAL REPORT OF INTERROGATION AND TORTURE.
LOOK IT UP.
HUNDREDS OF FBI AGENTS TESTIFIED TO THE IG THAT THE CIA AND CIVILIAN CONTRACTORS WERE NEEDLESSLY VIOLATING US LAW IN RELATION TO INTERROGATION.
NO, IT WAS CHENEY, WHO PUBLICLY REVEALED THE IDENTITY OF CIA OFFICER VALERIE PLAME THROUGH HIS DEPUTY SCOOTER LIBBY, IN VIOLATION OF THE SECRECY LAWS, TO FURTHER HIS OWN POLITICAL AGENDAS.
LIBBY TESTIFIED TO SAME IN COURT, BUT TOOK THE FALL FOR HOS OLD BOSS, CHENEY.

CHENEY
THIS MAN IS A DISGRACE TO THE PARTY OF HONEST ABE LINCOLN, TEDDY 'ROUGH RIDER' ROOSEVELT AND DWIGHT 'D-DAY' EISENHOWER.
LINCOLN RULED WITH COMPASSION, BUT DEFEATED THE ENEMIES OF THE UNITED STATES
TR WENT AFTER THE BIG MONOPOLY CORPORATIONS AND ROBBER BARONS
EISENHOWER DEFEATED THE FASCISTS IN WAR AND WARNED US AGAINST THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX IN PEACE.
CHENEY IS THE ANTITHESIS OF ALL OF THAT.
HE IS A DICTATOR, A LIAR, AND A CROOK.
HE SHOULD BE WATER BOARDED IN GIT-MO AND THEN IMPRISONED IN A SUPERMAX FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.
DISGRACE.
Wait until you see
the terror that will be caused from Obama's mistakes. There can be no doubt that releasing CIA secrets will hurt the USA.
I agree with your assesment
But you are way to nice to this bozo.
Yael T. Abouhalkah is just another Bush hater and not a Professional Journalist . He is equal to Keith Oberman... who spews his hatred every night on MSNBC.
Dick Cheney - Self Serving
Dick Cheney is no patriot, and no friend to the American people. His policies have cost Americans dearly in lives and dollars. Worse, his actions made all Americans far less safe. This man should be fully prosecuted for his crimes against Americans, as well as other citizens of the world. The faster he is put behind bars or below ground, the better.
Bush did something
Bush sat with Condaleeza Rice in the White House plotting major conflicts, intentionally ignoring al Qaeda and all such small fish.
They also put off and put off and put off Richard Clarke.
They also ignored Bill Clinton's specific warning about Osama bin Laden.
To his credit Bush, in July 2001, asked federal agencies for all the information they had on terrorists. What they supplied them fell short of "all" by a bunch, but he did ask.

USE YOUR G.I. BILL!!!!
Cheney's Book...
Oh, good, I love a piece of good fiction!!
Dick Cheney
You are confusing patriotism with being a ranting ogre. Dick Cheney never fed me, and he never made me safe and warm in my home. I'm sick of that dirtball.
And no, I havn't forgotten that my guy just won the election. I'm real happy about that. I would much rather have this country run by someone who doesn't look like he wants to bite the fender off a car, doesn't shoot like Elmer Fudd, and doesn't think waterboarding is a patriotic duty.
Dick Cheney
Dick's understanding of the war against terriorism is on a par with his marksmanship with a shotgun. He reminds me of the Hindenberg: Both are huge gasbags, propelled by hot air.
Seriously, havn't we had enough of this dirtball?
"led us through the storm?"
Created the storm is what he and Pres. Bush did. They saw the intelligence pointing out that Al Qaeda sought to attack in the US. Repeatedly. Fact. They refused to do anything to stop it. Fact. They knew people were training to fly jets, but not learning to land them. Fact. There was no credible evidence Iraw had WMDs. Fact. They lied to the American people about it anyway to go to war with Iraq. Fact. They were not prepared for what ensued. Fact. The result was utter chaos. Fact. Millions more Muslim extremists now truly despise the US because of the Iraq war. Fact. The chaos in Iraq created a country where terrorists now have easy access to hundreds of thousands of US soldiers. Fact. That's why we haven't been attacked in America since 9/11. Fact. Roadside bombings aimed at US soldiers are acts of terrorism. Fact. Americans have been attacked by terrorists since 9/11, just not on US soil. Fact.
Want more facts or is it too hard to face the truth?
You can call us all the names you need to to soothe your guilty consciences. Doesn't change the facts.
I have a suggestion for the few Neocons left
Read Plato's 'Allegory of the cave'.
Burke,out.
Conservatives Need Change Too
Lezzle, sonofrogue, twas_was: Let's hope that you are a dying breed. You are leftovers from what is hopefully a bygone epoch. Evolution has by-passed you and Cheney. In fact your voting privileges should be revoked and your passports confiscated. Just stay in your houses and watch FOX News for the rest of your lives and then make room for the next step in the evolutionary process.
sonofrogue, using your logic...
...Bill Clinton was a patriot. It is what it is,son.
