I agree with Clay 100% and think a great majority of Americans agree as well. I am a fan of the show from a long, long time and it was shocking this time to see how those four judges, without exemption, couldn’t find enough words to praise and praise Adam. It was more than genuflection, it felt like humiliation. They appear too little and Adam as a Supreme possessor of artistic talents. Is he really that much? The judges were too eager to please those vociferous Adam’s fans than in their way, lost their credibility. Even Simon lost his main critical feature. It was horrible to watch! And Adam was and is overrated. It is not only hard to the ears to hear his screaming, buy he appeared as conceited, his style doesn’t appeal to the majority, and his exaggerated theatrics turn people off.

Adam's the best contestant American Idol ever had. Simon isn't stupid, he knows a worldwide money-maker when he sees one. He acted the same way about Leona Lewis on X-Factor.

I'm starting to think being runner-up is almost better for Adam. He works better as an outsider and by losing he's causing an even bigger scene than if he'd won. And oh yea, he'll never have to sing that God awful coronation song again.

To 'Mary'

Perhaps if you learn to write coherently, one will better understand what you intend to say.......but I will tell you that you obviously have little knowledge of voice and music....the judges praised Adam because he is exceptional..........he is NOT over-rated.........but, perhaps people as insensitive as yourself....who find him conceited (??????) cannot appreciate such a voice..........he is the most well-mannered young man I have seen on Idol in a long time......with a rare, once in a lifetime ability............the judges saw this........too bad you did not......to each his own. Idol lost credibilty because he lost......to an A T and T scam........handing out free phones to tweens in Arkansas and teaching them to 'power text'.........bet you didn't know that 38 millions votes came from Arkansas alone......when it has only 2.8 million people......... many others...like myself voting for Adam........couldn't get confirmation on texts sent....until the next day when our votes no longer counted!!! Hmmmmmmmm.......something was fishy.....guess A T and T got their good'ol boy to win.

Clay went way out of his league to criticize Adam Lambert. CLAIMING he only turned the show on to check out the set?? And, only watched part of Ring of Fire? Who's he kidding?

I read that he showed up on the set wanting to take part and was turned away!

Clay Aiken imagines himself a meaningful music critic and he's entitled to his flames, colorful as he thinks they are, and probably Adam Lambert's pretty good at forgiving and probably Clay's 'colorful' opinion isn't really that bothersome, not to say Lambert doesn't give a damn but he's probably just too busy right now to notice.

Clay Aiken is a dork, and what does his opinion matter anyway? He can only sing one type of song...boring. If he had bothered to listen to Adam for any length of time, he would have heard how fantastic that boy really is. He can sing anything and make it sound good. So, Ring of Fire wasn't like the original..Adam stayed true to himself. He knew he would never sing country, so he took a country song and made it his own.

I was blown away when he performed with Queen...my favorite group of all time. I didn't see Queen fly across the big ocean to perform with Aiken when he was a finalist. They came for one reason...to check out this phenomenal new singer.

Clay made some nasty remarks and it came back to bite him. Good. Talk about someone who's conceited...I can't believe someone would charge people to belong to their site, and I really can't believe people would pay. Get over yourself, Clay.

To Sandy:

“Conceited (?????)”

Merry Webster definition of conceited: “having or showing an excessively high opinion of oneself”

But I just came here to voice my opinion and not be engaged in spelling and grammatical criticism of those that don’t think the same as me--as you did. My opinion on Adam, by the way, is in sync with the majority of Americans. Being 28 years old, and on stage since 7, can you tell me why the guy is an absolute unknown? Didn’t you say he is exceptional and with a life time ability?

What is happening with this theatrical screamer with frightening look is hysteria from some with an agenda. Sorry

Gee, a singer no one cares about is dissing a singer everyone is up in arms about because he was robbed of the crown on AI? Could this be sour grapes that Adam is actually making the headlines that Clay wishes he were making? Just saying....

Clay was an okay singer. He didn't win because he didn't have the pipes. And to say he is 'openly' gay is laughable since it took him forever to come out. Adam could care less what anyone thinks. He is a solid, formidable talent, and it's a blessing that he didn't win the crown. He can now pursue all sorts of venues that are definite open to him. Five years from now people will say 'Clay who?' 'Kris who?' but they will still be listening to Adam Lambert!

Shame on you Clay! And what a half-assed apology. How DARE you blame it on your readers misrepresenting you? Your true nature came out in that diatribe. You should be appalled.

Aside from a commenter writing just as incoherently....... with a bunch of ellipses for no reason...... which is just bad writing and lack of skill in self expression...... Clay Aiken is a passed-gas in the wind. Maybe he should take a look at what HE looked like at the start of his Idol cycle, before the stylists got to him (and he started believing his own press)! Hum. Weird looking guy who got more palatable as the cycle went on, then seemed to do OK for himself, eh? So I guess it's Pot, meet Kettle! I wouldn't give him a penny for his 'paid blog' and laugh at those who do.

I hate aiken SO bad! He's a liar and a hypocrite. The only 'negative freak' is HIM. HE started this BS with his hate blog. Now he's doing what he always does. He's twisting things to portray himself as the victim, which is NOT the truth! HE is the one who needs to find something else to do and STOP bashing people. He's a condescending, self-righteous, pompous jerk who needs to eff off. He's obviously jealous of the FAR more talented, FAR better-looking Lambert. aiken is a pathetic has-been and is making a complete fool of himself.
