Open Society Education News

Transitions Online, with funding from the Education Support Program, has launched an education section of its website to provide information and increase understanding of educational issues throughout Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

As part of this initiative, Transitions Online also offers a bimonthly newsletter, Open Society Education News, which covers significant developments in the education sector as well as events and publications that support open society goals in education.

The inaugural issue includes an investigative report on Islamic schools in Bulgaria and a feature on the dearth of technical and professional training in Kyrgyzstan.

Open Society Education News is available at archive.tol.cz/nsl-list.html.
