Exchange rates

By Bo FranzénJohan Söderberg, Rodney Edvinsson and Jan Bohlin

This section contains exchange rates from 1291 onwards. It is organised around three periods that partly overlap each other: 1291-1540, 1534-1834, 1803-1914 and 1914 onwards.

Up to 1834, Sweden had several different currency units, which at periods fluctuated in value relative to each other. The exchange rates between these currencies are presented for the whole period 1291-1834. Foreign exchange rates are presented from 1658 onwards.
