Chicago School for Children with Learning Disabilities

 

The Hyde Park Day School (HPDS) is a private, not-for-profit day school serving the needs of children with learning disabilities.

With two Illinois locations on the University of Chicago campus in Chicago and north suburban Northfield, HPDS is the only school of its kind in the Chicago area.

HPDS offers a specialized LD educational curriculum for students with moderate-to-severe learning disabilities, and who are of average-to-superior ability.

The HPDS approach emphasizes:

  • Intensive one-to-one assistance
  • Early intervention
  • Integration of LD specialists
  • Multisensory and technology enhanced learning
  • Regular education teachers and professional artists
  • Professional collaboration with private and public schools
  • Transitioning of students to their home school.

HPDS Programs include Full Day School, Summer School, and Individual Tutoring.
