Using media to improve livelihoods The majority of people in the world do not have reliable sources of food, income and employment. Half the world - nearly three billion people - lives on less than $2 a day. Over two-thirds of them rely on small-scale agriculture for their food and wages. We believe that people need skills and knowledge to improve their livelihoods. More about how we are using media to improve livelihoods- We work in partnership with the BBC Somali Service, the Africa Educational Trust, the European Union's Rehabilitation Programme for Somalia and a wide range of stakeholders in the country to deliver relevant knowledge and skills to all those working in the livestock sector. - Working in partnership with local broadcaster, the Amhara Mass Media Agency, we produced Ethiopia's first radio soap opera recorded on location - designed to stimulate debate about key development issues. Read more
