How much does it cost to look at BBC Internet content on my phone or send in an SMS?
The BBC does not charge for its mobile content. However, your operator's charges for using the internet on your phone will apply. Costs vary from operator to operator. Operators may charge for time spent browsing or amount of data downloaded. E.g. If an operator charges £2 per MB of data downloaded, it would cost approx. 1 penny to read three pages of a BBC news story. Consult your operator to find out their specific charges.
Sending SMS messages to the BBC will cost 10-15p as network charges vary.

How much does it cost to watch BBC video content on my mobile phone?
The BBC does not charge you or your network operator to watch the video. However, unless you have signed up to a data-inclusive plan, your operator will charge you for the amount of data you download. We advise you to contact them to establish how much the data is likely to cost. As a guide, a 1 MB video file will cost more than £2 for Pay as You Go customers and between 50p and £2 for Pay Monthly customers. Please ensure you fully understand your payment plan before using this service.
