Reports

A central role for BBC Outreach is to manage the organisation’s approach to corporate responsibility. The BBC Corporate Responsibility Report 2008/09 supplements the BBC's Annual Reports and Accounts 2008/09, which contain further details on the topics we cover and more.

This website and our Corporate Responsibility Report complement each other and both follow a similar structure. They each highlight some of the ways we are delivering our six Public Purposes.

In addition, they report on how the BBC is run as a business. The Our Business sections outline our approach to staff management and suppliers. The Environment sections look specifically at what we are doing to make the BBC’s operations more sustainable. Finally, the Charity sections highlight the unique role that the BBC plays in supporting the voluntary sector across the UK and the world, both through its own charities and the work it does to support hundreds of others.

The BBC Corporate Responsibility Report 2008/09 has been independently verified by The Virtuous Circle.
