ADCB Awarded “The Bank of the Year” in the Middle East

ADCB has been awarded “The Bank of the Year” at this year’s CEO Middle East Awards. The award was presented by Her Highness Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Economy, at the inaugural CEO Middle East awards in Dubai on October 23rd.

ITP Executive Group Editor, Anil Bhoyrul said “ADCB were the clear winner having accomplished in three years what most banks take decades to do. The banks achievements set a clear example to other institutions with ambitious plans for re-invention, expansion and growth”.

The CEO Middle East awards were hotly contested with this year’s nominations having been selected by a special panel of judges following the on-line voting process on www.arabianbusiness.com, who examined each businesses performance across a number of categories.

Accepting the award on behalf of ADCB, Ala’a Eraiqat, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, said “It is a great pleasure to accept this award on behalf of ADCB. 2007 has been a monumental year for us all at the bank, a year in which we have achieved many notable milestones and successes; The Bank of the Year award from CEO Middle East is a welcome addition to the other distinguished awards and endorsements ADCB have been honoured with this year.”

Eirvin Knox, Chief Executive Officer of ADCB was cited on winning the award “This recognition is a testament to the dedication shown by the people of ADCB in their quest for excellence and dedication to consistently delivering superior customer satisfaction”; further adding “We thank CEO Middle East for this award which is an important and valued accolade for ADCB”.
