Jobs - Frequently Asked Questions

Jobs

1. How can I find out about jobs at the BBC World Service Trust?

All jobs at the BBC World Service Trust are advertised on in the ' About us' section of this website. They are also advertised on the BBC Jobs website, which also includes more information about specific job, such as job descriptions, as well as more information about the application process.

However, you can only apply for jobs at the BBC World Service Trust through the BBC jobs website

2. Can I send my CV to you?

Please do not send CVs to us. We are bound by BBC employment rules and regulations and can only consider applications for advertised posts submitted through the BBC jobs website. This includes work experience and internships in our London office.

3. I live in one of the countries where the BBC World Service Trust works. How can I find out about jobs in my country?

We advertise some jobs based in our offices outside the UK through the BBC Jobs website, so please do check the site. Other jobs based in our country offices are advertised in that country, in the local media.

4. I am a film-maker/scriptwriter. Can I send you examples of my work?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept unsolicited ideas for programmes.

5. Do you provide training in media/ video editing/ journalism skills?

As we are not a grant-giving organisation, we cannot provide funds for individuals or organisations for training programmes. We do deliver training programmes where we call for individuals - who are already working in the media - to join specifically tailored training courses. These opportunities are always advertised locally.
