Editor's update

Welcome to the Science page. This page endeavours to bring together all of the The Economist’s coverage of science, technology, the environment and medicine.

This week's principal stories concern the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and its chairman, Rajendra Pachauri; Barak Obama's announcement of radical changes at NASA; and a preview of what is expected to be in the new Diagnostics and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Besides analysing the IPCC's troubles we are publishing the transcript of an interview with Dr Pachauri, for those who are interested in more details on the matter. We are also advertising our summer internship.
