Welcome

Welcome to the Georgetown University Pre-Medical studies web site!

These pages provide information on our undergraduate and PostBaccalaureate programs, courses, and other resources that prepare students for careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or other health professions.

The pre-medical curriculum is not a major in itself, but rather can be undertaken by any undergraduate student at Georgetown University. Our pre-medical students major in any of the degree programs offered by Georgetown College, Nursing and Health Studies, the School of Business, and the School of Foreign Service. We encourage students to engage in studies that fuel their intellectual interests as well as pursuing their pre-medical coursework and extracurricular activities.

In addition to general information on our Undergrad and Postbac pages on undergraduate, early assurance, and PostBaccalaureate Pre-Medical programs, please visit our Courses link for more information on required and elective coursework and AP credits. Our Prepare webpage describes a typical undergraduate calendar for applying to medical school, extracurricular activities, and our volunteer program. Apply will walk you through the medical school application process. Look to our Resources page for links to additional resources on pre-medical education.
While we hope that you will find answers to all of your questions within these pages, feel free to contact us for any additional information you might need.
