Phone number of bomb suspect found
Federal agents found the cellphone number of Faisal Shahzad, the alleged Times Square bomber, on an envelope bearing the name "Faisal" in the Watertown apartment of a man who was arrested last week, a government lawyer said today. Boston Globe, 5/20/10
2 men not tied to bomber, lawyer says
A lawyer for two Pakistani men arrested in Massachusetts last week said that there was no evidence linking them to the attempted Times Square bombing, but that the pair attracted the suspicion of authorities because days before the botched attack they had booked a flight from New York to Pakistan on the same route as the accused car bomber. Consul general complains of detainee treatment
Pakistan's consul general in Boston complained today that one of the three men arrested in New England last week as part of the investigation into the attempted Times Square bombing is being "treated like Osama bin Laden,'' even though he has not been criminally charged and is being held on alleged immigration violations.
